There are special events sponsored by the Friends of the Job Lane House at the North Road museum this weekend.

Create with Us workshop on Saturday

“Create with Us” Workshop, will take place on Saturday, August 10, from 2-4 PM (rain date Saturday, August 17).

Contestants ages 6 through adult in the Job Lane House 300th Anniversary Art Contest are invited to the Job Lane House and grounds to work on their entries. Open to both amateur and professional artists. No charge. Inside the house and barn, only pencil sketching and photography are permitted; outdoors, all media are allowed.

Puppet making and house tours on Sunday

Sharon McDonald will host a puppet-making workshop at the Job Lane House on Sunday, August 11, from 2 to 4 PM. She will help you make a simple puppet and then put on a puppet show. Open to all children, free of charge. For information, call Sharon at 781-275-5643

Tours of Bedford’s circa 1713 colonial house by guides in period costume will take place from 2 to 4 pm for a donation of $4 per person or $10 per family.
