Letter to the Editor: Thank you! from Ralph Hammond

Thank you, Bedford, for recognizing me as Citizen of the Year.

I was surprised and honored when the letter arrived in late August. From the fun of Bedford Day to the warm reception at Old Town Hall, it was a memorable week.

Thank you, Bedford, for the honor of being included with the men and women of previous years whom I’ve deeply admired for their contributions to the town.

I feel fortunate to both grow up and live in Bedford with its history, its customs, and culture, and to be part of this community where citizens’ contributions and participation are welcome and appreciated.

The photos were fantastic and certainly did capture the enjoyment of the evening.
