Submitted by members of the Bedford Clergy Association
Together as clergy of Bedford, we stand united as we express our condemnation of the anti-Semitic graffiti that has recently been found in Bedford, including a number of swastikas as well as derogatory language aimed at Jews.
These acts of hatred are not just attacks on Jews. They are attacks on each one of us, what we stand for, and the culture of love and respect that we have built together. Prejudice and discrimination are not welcome in our community. We invite all people of faith and good will to condemn these acts of hatred and be the community that we have come to expect: one free of hate, one in which no one is afraid to express who they fully are, and one in which we are all embraced.
