The 2014 Bedford High School musical Anything Goes, a classic madcap comedy set on a cruise ship in 1934 featuring Cole Porter’s timeless score, will open with a matinee on Wednesday March 12 and evening performances through March 15.

The protagonist, Billy Crocker (played by Joe Neveux), a rising Wall Street big shot, is set to see his boss off on a trip to England when he sees Hope Harcourt (played by Allison McIllece), a recent flame that he can’t get out of his mind.  Hijinks ensue when he finds out that she is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh (played by Brad Hegarty) and is bound for England as well.  Billy finds himself on the ship scheming to win Hope’s heart with the help of an old friend and resident ‘star’ of the cruise, Reno Sweeney (played by Catherine Donato), bumbling gangster Moonface Martin (played by Evan Dombkowski), and his moll Erma (played by Lauren Winn).

This year’s production is directed by Katrina Faulstich and produced by Evan Grunwald.  Like last year’s production of Footloose!, Katrina and Evan are splitting all musical responsibilities.  Choreography is in the capable hands of Jessica Ham, and Erik Smallenberger is once again the technical director, working with student stage manager, Jeff Taylor.  The production team feels very fortunate to be working together again on what is shaping up to be another very successful show!
