Bedford METCO’s popular annual Soul Food Dinner will take place from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, February 28 in Upper Fellowship Hall of First Church of Christ on Great Road.

Tickets are $15 for adults, and $10 for youth/children. Dinners can be enjoyed in community at the church, or packaged for take-out.

The menu is home-cooked by METCO volunteers, and served by students. Diners will have a choice of an entrée Golden Fried Chicken, Sweet & Tangy Chicken, Chicken Caribbean Style, or Stewed Chicken — with two side dishes — Baked Macaroni & Cheese, Rice & Peas,  Glorified Collard Greens, Deliciously Seasoned Green Beans, Perfectly Candied Yams or Buttery Hot Corn Bread. Each meal comes with a dessert — METfamous home-made Sweet Potato Pie, home-made Pound Cake, or home-made Red Velvet CakeAdditional sides or desserts may be purchased for $2 each.
