Nearly 300 guests joined us to celebrate the Pan Mass Challenge Bedford Kids Ride’s 10th year  and helped to raise an astonishing $78,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and its Jimmy Fund.

The Winter Garden Atrium was filled with beautiful flowers and balloons and gorgeously decorated all with thanks to Bedford Florist.  As guests arrived they walked down a hallway looking up at large posters hanging from the ceiling of all our past Pedal Partners.  It was a beautiful and touching tribute to these brave kids who have been unfairly touched by cancer.

Our Champions of Hope Sponsors and their guests attended our exclusive Champions of Hope Sponsor Reception for a Meet and Greet with our honoree Jothy Rosenberg, two-time cancer survivor, motivational speaker, extreme athlete and author of “Who Says I Can’t?”.   They enjoyed an open bar, a phenomenal seafood display with lobster rolls, shrimp, sushi and oysters as well as delicious hors d’oeuvres.  They also had an early preview of our silent auction items that included trips, getaways, golf outings, sports tickets, dining, services and more.

The party continued with our General Reception, cocktails, more fabulous food, silent auction and the opportunity for guests to have their pictures taken at our photo drape holding signs of messages and hope.

At 9 pm all guests moved in to attend our program to hear Jothy Rosenberg’s inspirational story, a powerful video message sent to us from Nate Cavallo our brave and optimistic 2013 and 2014 Pedal Partner.

Rich Kilroy, motivated guests to bid high during our live auction and contribute at an unmatched level in our “Kick Cancer’s Butt” program.  As a surprise & in disguise, Dave Venuti of Bedford Farms, offered three Golden Tickets to guests bidding against each other to raise over $8,000 on just this one item!

After the program, dessert was served and the party continued!  A great time was had by all.

We look forward to our 10th Annual PMC Bedford Kids Ride on Saturday, June 14th  at the John Glenn Middle School from 9am-1pm. Registration for riders and volunteers is now open at https://www.kids.pmc.org/bedford.aspx.
