Along with thousands of students across thee Commonwealth, Bedford will celebrate Massachusetts Walk and Bike to School day on Wednesday, May 7. Poor weather forecast will cancel/reschedule chaperoned bike ride – check back here for update. Check www.Bedfordma.gov/Healthy-Bedford for more information.

Specific school information:

Davis School

Davis parents and students can join the celebratory walking parade at the Lutheran Church parking lot at 8:55AM (children must be accompanied by their parents).~ The walking parade will be led by Ms. Venezia or Ms. Salipante.

Lane School

Walkers (to school only): Meet at St. Paul’s parking lot on Pine Hill Road at 8 am for an approximate 1 mile (30 minute walk)

Bikers: Helmets required. Some assistance with tire checks and seat adjustments will be provided at the event, but please check out bike before the event. Students may ride one way only as long the bike chaperons are notified. Parents are highly encouraged to join either ride!

  • Morning Ride: Meet at Marshalls’ rear parking lot at 8 am for 1.8 mile ride on rail trail to school, approximately 20 min ride uphill.
  • Afternoon Return Ride: Leave Job Lane at 1:30 PM for approximately 15 minute ride downhill; parent pickup at Marshalls parking lot at 1:45 PM.
