This spring, the Bedford elementary schools took part in a BOX TOPS ACROSS AMERICA campaign. The elementary school community asked friends and relatives from around the U.S. to send Box Tops to their children’s classrooms at Davis and Lane School.
As envelopes flooded in to the schools, the states were tracked on a large map in the display case at each school and online at https://bit.ly/1erLrKL. During the two-month contest, the schools received over 150 letters that contained over 1,100 Box Tops. Box Tops were sent to Bedford from 46 different states and from as far away as Puerto Rico and Germany! The four missing states are Alabama, Iowa, Mississippi, and Montana.
The classes that received Box Tops from the greatest number of states were awarded prizes.
