Friday, June 20, marks the end of the year for Bedford Schools, but thanks to Bedford Center for the Arts, the Library and the Rec Department there’s plenty for kids to do through the summer:

Bedford Center for the Arts

At Bedford Center for the Arts, Sam Christen – granddaughter of BCA founder Jerry Christen — is reviving Third Friday free drop-in craft-making events for kids and their supervising adult, beginning with a Puppet Design workshop on Friday, June 20, from 3 to 6 pm, in the BCA space on the ground floor of Old Town Hall, 16 South Road. Click to learn more about Third Friday at BCA.

Bedford Free Public Library

The Bedford Library offers outdoor chess tables, summer book clubs, Library Labs for grades K-5 and story times. And their free movie at 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 26, is one that your kids will surely want to see so plan to arrive a bit early! Click here to check the library calendar.

And don’t forget the Museum Pass program sponsored by the Friends of the Library. There are reduced-admission passes for all the good places! Click to learn more and you can make your choices and reserve the passes from your home computer!

Bedford Recreation Department and Springs Brook Park

If your kids’ summer plans haven’t quite jelled yet, there’s still space in some of the Recreation Department programs, click here to check their website.
