Who will be Bedford’s 2014 Citizen of the Year?

Casting a wide net, residents are encouraged to nominate individuals who have made, or are making, an impact on Bedford through their work on a board or committee, a social organization, a religious institution, or a school. A newly-constructed page on the Town’s web site, https://www.bedfordma.gov/town-manager/pages/citizen-of-the-year, outlines the ‘perks’ along with the responsibilities.

The new page also names all 27 of the honorees, from the first – Lou Smith in 1979 – through the current honoree, Ralph Hammond. (Click here to read The Citizen’s coverage of the 2013 party honoring Hammond.)

If you’re ready to suggest your favorite 2014 nominee, click Citizen of the Year Nomination, print the form and deliver it to Jessica Porter in the Town Manager’s office by the close of business on Friday, August 1.
