The wait is over- Bedford’s Baystate C team has reached the Tournament of Champions and will play at Hudson (Wednesday), at Billerica (Friday), and home against Lexington (Sunday). The Baby Bucs will need two wins in those three games to reach the quarterfinals.

The good news?

Bedford has a 4-1 record against those three teams this summer. Bedford split two games with Hudson this past round, defeated Lexington twice in round one (both victories were by one run), and beat Billerica in the first round trophy weekend championship game.

 The bad news?

Throw all prior results out the window- the TOC is a whole different level of intensity and past performance is certainly no guarantee of future victories. Every pitcher will be throwing hard, every hitter will have power, and there will be very little margin for error.

Throughout the summer, Baystate C has made a habit of playing in and winning close games, and hopefully will continue in that tradition over the next few days.

On Sunday night, make sure to come support the boys in blue. The game vs Lexington is at 6:30 pm at Page Field and just might be a win-or-go home affair.
