Bedford Family Connection (BFC) Playroom Re-opens for the School Year on Monday, September 22

September 15, 2014

BFC Kite LogoThe Bedford Family Connection (BFC) playroom will be re-opening for the school year on Monday, September 22nd.  The playroom has always been at the heart of the BFC. This year, we have decided to make an entire week-long event around its reopening! Please join us each day that week as we celebrate “Back to School” in the playroom. Each day will feature a different aspect of a school day.

  • Monday is “Music Day”.  We will listen to music, play with instruments, and make a musical craft to take home.
  • Tuesday celebrates “Lunch and Recess”.  Bring your own sandwich for a picnic on the common at 11:30 a.m.  The BFC will provide snacks, drinks and dessert, and we will play recess games.  Please do not bring peanut or nut products in case we need to move our picnic indoors.
  • On Wednesday, we will feature learning activities – lots of fun with letters, numbers, and shapes.
  • Thursday is “Art Day”.  The children will unleash their creativity on our fun fall art projects.
  • Friday, to finish the week, will be “Library Day”.  Classic story books will come to life with hands-on projects.

The BFC playroom is open every weekday (excluding school holidays and snow days) from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Located in the basement of the First Parish Unitarian-Universalist Church at 75 Great Road, the playroom is a great place to bring your children for playtime.  Admission is $0.50 per child for members and $2 per child for non-members.  Snack is served during each play session.  As the playroom is a peanut-free/nut-free environment, please refrain from bringing outside snacks.

The Bedford Family Connection provides fun activities and enriching programs for local families with children ages 0 through Kindergarten. If you would like to learn more about the BFC and the services we provide, please visit www.BFCToday.com or email Co-Directors Noelle Oliveira and Holly Munsie at [email protected] or visit our booth at Bedford Day.
