The Bedford Police and Fire Departments today responded to the Marshall’s store located at 160 The Great Road for a report of a car that had driven through the storefront. The call came in at about 1:30 p.m.

Responders arrived quickly and determined that a white 4-door Volkswagen sedan had driven through the window of the store. One employee inside was injured from debris that had been forced forward in the crash. The employee was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. A preliminary investigation reveals that human error may be to blame in the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Bedford Police Department. The operator was not injured.

Editor’s Note: In a subsequent telephone interview with Police Sgt. Paul Saunders, The Bedford Citizen learned that a similar accident occurred at Steve’s House of Pizza within the past week.

Didn’t they say that Firebox could not have any tables outside because it was too dangerous since there was no curb?

I did see the boarded up window at Steve’s, was wondering if someone had crashed.
