Submitted by Town Engineer Adrienne St. John

The Town recently awarded a contract to Comprehensive Environmental Inc., CEI, from Marlborough, MA to perform an assessment of Fawn Lake with the goal of providing a long-term restoration plan that will address aquatic vegetation, water depth and shoreline access for fishing and boating.

CEI will be mapping the lake bathymetry (underwater topography) and measuring depth of sediment by canoe during the week of October 13th.  They will also be documenting the extent of aquatic vegetation including plant type and relative densities.

There will be a public meeting on October 29th at 7:30 pm at Bedford Town Hall to explain the project and for CEI to present their preliminary findings.  Questions and public input will be encouraged.
