Don’t miss the Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library Holiday Book Sale, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 1 to 4 pm at the Library.  Most children and adult books are fifty cents for paperbacks and $1.00 for hardcovers. Larger paperbacks are $1.00. Some collectibles and choice gift books are specially priced. A selection of holiday-themed books will also be available.

The Book Sale will be preceded by the Annual Meeting of the Friends, beginning with light refreshments at 9:30 am.  Memberships are available now, for individuals ($10) and families ($15).  If you are feeling especially generous, you may become a Sponsor for $25 and a Benefactor for $50. Please make your check payable to the Friends of the Bedford Free Public Library; you may hand your check to a staff member at the Library Circulation Desk, who will pass it on to the Friends.

Membership in the Friends is a way of supporting all the “extras” that this organization provides for the Library.  Among the benefits you may have already enjoyed, thanks to the Friends, are movie nights, free passes to area museums, the extensive DVD  collection,  the annual lecture series – and many more events!
