Well, unfortunately, the house is run down. While I do agree that the house does have many memories, the reality is this development will actually be good for the neighborhood.

The House at 57 Hartwell is one of the grand old homes of Bedford. Home to the Sullivan Family, one of the largest families in Town at the time with 15 Children. Most still live in town to this day. That being said, it’s a classic old farm house complete with large garden in the rear, shouldn’t be torn down and made into a subdivision, the town has to put it’s foot down somewhere, one old house comes down and 4+ in it’s place, come on now!

It doesn’t have to but it should. Time to enact some anti-sprawl zoning bylaws!
