God’s Vision, Our Dreams, Our Voices, a community-wide celebration of the life of Martin Luther King will take place at 4 pm on January 11 at the First Baptist Church of Bedford, 155 Concord Rd.

A service of seeking God’s vision while reflecting on the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. , this service has been ongoing for decades. This year it will feature Dr. Geoffrey Dana Hicks,  a pastor and gospel musician who was ordained in 1990 at Dorchester Temple Baptist Church and began preaching when he was 30 years old.  He is the minister of music at Tremont Temple Baptist Church in Boston.

Rev. Dr. Scott Arnold, pastor of First Baptist Church of Bedford will also share in word and music.  This will be a time of people sharing their voices to affirm God’s vision and dream for unity with diversity, for racial understanding and appreciation.

The vision of Dr. King was a vision of God’s perfect grace and truth, a vision that is both Christian and broader.  Come for a time of inspiration, worship, reflection and prayer.  Let’s seek peace and pursue it.  First Baptist Church is a racially diverse family of faith.
