Storm Cancellations and Delays – January 26, 2015 – with Updates Including No School Announcement

Town of Bedford New SealThe Town Manager’s office has announced that tonight’s Selectmen’s meeting will begin at 6 pm.

Late on Monday afternoon Superintendent Jon Sills’s office confirmed that there will be no school on Tuesday, January 27.

There are several other delays and cancellations to report:

  • Town offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 27;
  • The Bedford Library plans to close on Monday at 5 pm ;
  • The Recreation Department’s Monday afternoon activities, including the Corner and Kids Club, are ON;
  • The Board of Health meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, February 2;
  • The Cultural Council meeting has been cancelled, but not rescheduled;
  • Monday’s SEPAC meeting at Lane School has been cancelled; and
  • Tuesday evening’s School Committee meeting is rescheduled for Wednesday evening.

Governor Baker’s noontime announcement  calls for  a statewide ban on travel after midnight and through the day on Tuesday, January 27.

Around 2 pm, JGMS’s Principal Kevin Tracey made the following announcement: All JGMS afternoon and evening activities are cancelled for today.  This includes boys and girls basketball.  Students, who are going to Boston, must get on their bus immediately at the end of the school day. If there is no school tomorrow, then Wednesday will be a Day 3 and Thursday will be a Day 5.  If there is no school on Tuesday and Wednesday, then Thursday will be a Day 3 and Friday will be a Day 6.
