Outreach 360

During February break, 23 Bedford High School students will travel to the Dominican Republic to work with impoverished students in an Outreach 360 community center near the Haitian border.  Group leader and BHS instructor Christopher Zellner said that Bedford students worked with Outreach 360 in Morocco last year and in Greece in 2012.

The center has a wish list for donations that are commonly available in Bedford, but difficult or costly to obtain in the Dominican Republic. The list includes glue sticks, large crayons for young children, Spanish bilingual children’s books, construction paper, chalk, two-pocket folders, markers, three-hole punches. Computer power strips with surge protectors are especially sought because of the variable power supply in the village Bedford students will visit.

A host of other items is on the list of BHS Dominican Republic Trip Gifts that you can see by clicking the link. If you have any of the items to donate, you are invited to drop them off in the main office at Bedford High School before Friday, February 6.

If you have questions, please contact Chris Zellner, [email protected].
