PantryThe Bedford Community Table/Pantry is currently seeking to fill three volunteer positions pertaining to the weekly community dinners that have been offered almost every Thursday during the past 24 school years (September to May).  The filling of these volunteer positions is essential if the community dinners are to continue beyond the 2014 -2015 school year.  Shown below are the positions, the tasks involved in each, and the estimated time involved each week.

Dinner Coordinator: This position involves managing the schedule of cooks, servers, and the clean-up crews for each Thursday dinner.  Specifically, this position includes sending weekly reminder notices to dinner volunteers, finding volunteers to fill holes in an existing schedule, and coordinating volunteers from home through E-Mail and phone calls.

Dinner Hostess: This position involves greeting dinner guests, helping servers, and solving any problems involved in the serving of the dinner.  This position requires attendance at the Town Center dining room each Thursday from 4:30 to 5:45 PM.

Clean up Coordinator: This position involves supervising the various clean-up crews, locking up various items in the food pantry, and being onsite at the Town Center dining room each Thursday from 5:45 to about 7:00 PM.

Any individual or group who would be interested in filling one of these needed positions is urged to call the Bedford Community Table/Pantry at 781-275-7355 and leave contact information, or to visit the web site at www.bedfordfoodpantry.org.
