The Cambridge Savings Bank Senior Prom will be held on Sunday, May 31st on the Town Common. It will begin at 5 pm, with a class photo at 5:45 followed by the promenade.
There is no parking on Fletcher Road and parents are encouraged to park at Town Hall or in the Library/Bedford High School lot.
The Prom Stroll was started in 1997 when Maureen Sullivan, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, coaxed 35 couples to begin the tradition of the stroll. It began a town-wide event that now draws from every segment of the community. It is a touch of “Norman Rockwell” as the community gathers to watch the seniors and their dates stroll into the next stage of their life.
“This event epitomizes what Bedford is as a community. Families, friends and just people who love to witness this tradition, come out to help celebrate our young people as they move on from BHS” said Sullivan.
The event is sponsored by Cambridge Saving Bank and through their generosity, the Chamber is able to give every student a free DVD of the stroll. DVDS can be picked up after June 22nd at the Cambridge Savings Bank’s Bedford location.
