State Representative Ken Gordon (D-Bedford) hosted all 48 members of the Job Lane School Student Council at the State House last Wednesday, June 10th.

Representative Gordon led the group on a personal tour of the capital building that included a visit to the 220-year-old Senate Chamber, a visit to the Governor’s suite, a group photo on the grand staircase and a stop off at the Hall of Flags to find Bedford’s town flag. The student council members had an opportunity to sit in the seats of the Representatives in the House chamber and enjoy lunch in the Members-Only Lounge.

“I really loved having the Student Council members come to the State House.  They asked great questions, and plenty of them,” said Gordon. “The State House is a remarkable building that serves as an effective teaching tool. I am glad the student council members enjoyed their visit and I look forward to hosting other groups soon.”
