Bid on Margrit Mason Paintings in Bedford Arts and Crafts Society’s Silent Auction

The Bedford Arts and Crafts Society is holding a silent auction of two works of art by Margrit Mason, a well-known artist who taught watercolor painting in Bedford and the surrounding area for many years. The proceeds from the auction will go toward a scholarship for a graduating high school student who will be pursuing a degree in an art related field.

  • The first item is a beautifully gold-framed and matted original watercolor painting of flowers by Margrit Mason. The frame is 29 ½ inches wide and 22 ¼ inches high. The watercolor is approximately 21 by 14 inches unframed. Bidding starts at $100.00.
  • The second item is a wooden plaque with an original interpretive painting by Margrit Mason of the historical Sheldon Block, the dimensions of which are: 39 1/2 inches long, 6 1/2 inches high at the highest point, and the wood it is painted on is 1 1/4 inches thick. Bidding starts at $50.00.

The works are currently available to view at the Bedford Council on Aging (COA) in the Town Center, and will also be available for viewing at the Bedford Regional Art Show in the Town Center Union Room on Sept. 18 and 19 (Bedford Day).
