The 14th season of the PBS home repair program “Ask This Old House” includes the segment taped during the program’s visit to Lane School last May when landscape contractor Roger Cook created three raised beds in the school’s garden and students planted them. The program will air at 8 pm on WGBH-TV, Channel 2.
The Lane School visit came at the behest of teaching assistant Jean Mickle who visited the local production office for Ask This Old House to propose the project. The visit took place in May.

Series producer Heath Racela and garden expert Roger Cook returned to Lane School this week, and received a basket of vegetables from the new beds in the garden that was dedicated to Mickle on September 23. “That’s great news about the naming of the garden,” said Racela. “What a fun project!”
The garden dedication video was supplied by Lane School Principal Rob Ackerman.
Lane School’s Assistant Principal Keith Kinney tweeted a link to a video promo for Ask This Old House’s new season because it prominently features Cook’s visit to Bedford.
