The Bedford High School Drama Club is proud to present Will Eno’s Middletown on November 13, 14 and 15.
Middletown is Eno’s modern adaptation of Thornton Wilder’s classic Our Town. Just like its inspiration, Middletown explores themes that are relevant to everyday life in any American town. The audience will connect with the characters as they go through their lives and experience events and emotions that are all too familiar to our daily lives. Eno’s wit and exceptional writing create a very philosophical and psychological picture of the ups and downs of human life.
The townspeople of Middletown are played by a cast of fifteen BHS students, lead by Gabby Griffiths, Sam Rackey, Michelle Kupershmidt, Jared Rushanan, and Caitlin Dooks. Tech Director Erik Smallenberger, Lighting Designer Kristyn Brophy, and Stage Manager Chris Bowers work their own magic behind the scenes. Katrina Faulstich and Michael Poe are co-directing this production, with the help of Student Assistant Director Deborah Weidman.
Middletown runs Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 pm, with a matinee on Sunday, November 15 at 2 pm at the BHS Auditorium.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors if purchased online through November 13. To reserve tickets, please go visit https://bhschorusandtheater.weebly.com/drama-club.html. Tickets sold at the door will cost $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.
