Soon-to-be-Demolished Buildings Offer Unique Firefighter Training Opportunities

Bedford firefighters had an unusual training opportunity today, practicing roof ventilation techniques and forcible entry on doors at the Bedford Marketplace buildings that are soon to be demolished.

“Commercial buildings and homes scheduled to be demolished provide valuable training opportunities,” said Captain Mark Sullivan. Bedford firefighters practiced skills they must be able to perform efficiently in an emergency situation.”
