The Friends of Bedford Veterans Memorial Park  would like to thank the 124 Bedford residents and organizations that contributed to the success of the Bedford Veterans Memorial Park Sign Project. To date we received close to $7,000, which exceeds our original goal of $4,500.  Click Veterans Memorial Park Sign Donors to read their names.

Our new sign will be installed on October 30th.  We will unveil and dedicate the sign immediately following our Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11th at Veterans Memorial Park.  The donations paid for the full purchase price of the sign, complete with granite posts and a raised masonry landscaping bed and exterior illumination. The full cost of the sign is lower than original estimates thanks to the assistance of Roy Sorensen, Bedford DPW Director who has assisted with the sign installation, installation of the landscape bed and the exterior illumination.  We anticipate that there will be a surplus of funds when all of this work is completed. The Committee will work with Town Officials and donors to use the surplus funds to help fund other improvements at Veterans Memorial Park.

Thank you all for your generosity,

Friends of Veterans Memorial Park Committee
Joe Piantedosi-Chair
Paul Purchia, John Monahan, Bobbie Ennis, James Burton, Jon O’Connor, Oscar DePriest, Jerry Hartman and Bill Linnehan.
