Bedford High School is working to establish a  ‘Math Assistance Center’ (aka math lab). This new drop-in Math Assistance Center (MAC) will provide math support to Bedford High students.

To staff this center, the Math department is looking for volunteers who are fluent in high school math. Areas of need include: algebra, geometry, calculus, and trigonometry.

If you are comfortable with one or more of these topics, please consider becoming a volunteer. The ideal volunteer is a former math educator, math major, or even a math aficionado who enjoys problem solving and working with students.

Assistance may include sitting with a student one-on-one talking through a homework assignment, or reviewing essential concepts for an upcoming assessment.

If you would like to volunteer your time, or want to know more, please contact Patrick Morrissey, the Math Program Administrator, by calling 781-275-1700 x. 5300 or emailing [email protected].

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Bedford Math Center volunteer.
