Annual Town Meeting began, as it always does, with a flourish: The Bedford Minuteman Company posts the colors to get the meeting underway.

The Bedford Citizen has several reporters covering specific articles, and their stories will post this week, but in the meanwhile, here’s the outcome of the articles considered during the first session of Annual Town Meeting, 2016, voting on Articles 1 through 11 on Monday night.

Article 1
Reports of Town Officers and Committees – including the annual Memorial Resolution along with reports from the Energy Task Force, the Arbor Resources Committee and the ad hoc Fawn Lake committee.

Debate Rules – Passed on a voice vote

Re-authorization of Revolving Funds – Passed on a voice vote

Article 5
Bills of Prior Years – Postponed indefinitely because there are no outstanding bills – Passed on a voice vote

General Bylaw Amendment – Cable Television Committee – Passed on a voice vote

Article 7
General Bylaw Amendment – Wetlands Protection – Passed on a voice vote

Article 8
Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Conversion of Public School Buildings to Multiple Residential Use – Page Place – Failed on a counted vote

Article 9
Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Package Involving Use, Dimensional, Density, Bulk and Other Provisions in Industrial and Certain Business Districts – Passed on a voice vote

Article 10
Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Amendments to Bedford Zoning Map – Passed on a voice vote

Article 11
Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Adjust Dimensional and Density Requirements within Industrial and Certain Business Districts to More  Closely Align with the Existing Development Pattern – Passed on a voice vote
