Bedford Schools LogoA slate of four candidates has been selected in the search to replace Bedford High School Principal Henry Turner.

According to an email to parents from search committee chair Assistant Superintendent Mary Lou Sallee, the original pool of 40 candidates was winnowed to 10, and then to 4. In addition to several teachers and school administrators, the search committee included School Committee members JoAnn Santiago and Ann Guay; parent Lori Alper; alumna Ivana Serrett; and students Tracie Lewis and Obiageli Nwodoh.

The final candidates are:

  • Kate Boynton, currently the Assistant Principal at Bedford High School
  • Joshua Frank, Assistant Headmaster for Teaching and Learning at Randolph High School
  • Heather Galante, Dean of Whittier House at the Chelmsford High School and a Bedford resident
  • Harold ‘Hal’ Mason, Assistant Headmaster at Brookline High School

On April 13, Kate Boynton and Hal Mason will be interviewed by faculty members from 1-3 pm. From 7 to 9 pm they will be available to meet with parents and community members in the BHS Library on the following schedule: 7-7:55 pm, Kate Boynton, and 8:05-9:00 pm, Hal Mason.

Candidates Heather Galante and Joshua Frank will be interviewed on Wednesday, April 27.
