First Parish will present its proposal for Solar Panels to the Historic District Commission, Wednesday June 1st. The solar project is a portion of its Energy Conservancy (ECo) project currently under way to reduce the energy foot print of the 199 year old building.

The HDC meeting will be held in the Multipurpose Room in the Town Hall at 7:30 on June 1st.

The public is invited to support First Parish’s proposal to reduce our carbon footprint and overall energy use. If there are specific questions please email lostj2@verizon.net.

It boggles the mind how there is any resistance to allowing subdued ‘black on black’ solar panels. Such shortsighted thinking is likely to see national treasures such as the Statue of Liberty, Golden Gate Bridge, or Florida to disappear.
