Lacoste Gallery presents Bedford sculptor Ronnie Gould’s show Tusks, Horns…Tales, Endangered Africa, hrough June 4 at the Gallery on Main Street in Concord.

“This exhibit is about endangered animals in Africa,” said Gould. “It is a tribute to their magnificence and a hope for their future.  We share this earth with these magnificent creatures that deserve our protection.”

John Linehan and David Caron of Zoo New England brought a Leopard Tortoise as an Animal Ambassador to the artists’ reception at the gallery. 10% of the sales from this exhibition will be donated to the Franklin Park Zoo’s ongoing efforts in animal protection.

“My mission is to create a world in which we can live in harmony with nature.”

– Jane Goodall

“Thankfully there are heroic people working for animal conservation,” notes Gould on the show’s web page. “”Most of my work addresses specific endangered animals but there are also creatures that simply capture my imagination such as the aardvark and warthog.

“The rectangular form in my sculptures represents civilization and the precarious balance that many animals are experiencing,” concluded Gould.
