Bedford resident Rabbi Susan Abramson was recently honored by the Boston Red Sox on Jewish Heritage Night for being the longest-serving female rabbi in Massachusetts and for being the author of the Rabbi Rocketpower series of Jewish children’s books as well as Challah: A Chewish Guide to the Torah.

Rabbi Abramson was one of the first fifty women ever to be ordained as a rabbi, and has been the rabbi of Temple Shalom Emeth in Burlington since 1984.
