The 66th annual Strawberry Festival at First Church of Christ, Congregational had plenty of competition from other events on Thursday but still managed to draw an almost standing room only crowd.

Could there have been a more perfect evening?

Soft breezes, music provided by Ben Knight, and dessert – strawberry shortcake on homemade biscuits, hot fudge sundaes, or a merger of the two.

Festival Chair Karen Gutersloh thanked her crew of volunteers including Casey Ackerman, Scot Aurenz, Chenie Bell, Dianne Bridgeman, Carla Brown, Mark Buccolo, Deborah Caban, Adrienne Card, John and Sarah Castricum, Betsy Cogliano, Phyllis Cooke, Barbara Coombs, Mary Criscione, Jennifer Dalrymple, Natalie Dussault, Peter and Terry Gerrish, Ruth Gural, Pat Konkle, Chris Majoros, Connie Matheson, Claire Maxon, Nancy McKinney, Laura Mock, Allyson Printz, Kathy Register, Ruth Robinson, Norm&Sally Sutherland, Jane Taylor, Holly and Charlie Webster, and Kelly Woessner made it all possible.
