Walk, bike, run, or dance your way to
Bedford’s First Free Summer Walkabout
Wednesday, July 13 from 4:30 to 6:30PM
Sponsored by The Higgins Group Realtors
Submitted by Healthy Bedford
Start at the Depot Park and visit the Budliner Train, Bedford’s historic rail car, and pick up a water bottle. Next, amble up the Narrow-Gauge Rail Trail and engage in family-friendly activities such as games, hula hoops, chalk art, bubbles and hop scotch, generously provided by Learning Express Toys of Bedford. You just might meet Elmo along the way!
Area businesses along the walking route will be offering incentives so stop by and check them out.
Be sure to pack your dinner and a blanket or folding chairs, and picnic at Veterans Memorial Park, where you will be able to play and dance with your family, friends, and neighbors while being entertained by local musicians Stacy and the Party.
Area businesses will be providing light refreshments such as lemonade from Red Heat Tavern, activities such as t-shirt tie-dyeing by the Higgins Group, along with balloons from Bedford Children’s Center.
Sponsored by the Bedford Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Economic Development and Healthy Bedford, this summer Walkabout is made possible with support from the Higgins Group.
