The weather may have been gray and misty, but the Wedgewood Club swimmers and divers didn’t let that dampen their efforts on Saturday, July 9 against Westford. From the youngest to the oldest, the competitors gave it their all in the pool and the results showed.  Even though Wedgewood lost to Westford, 413- 427, the 14 point spread shows how hard the team worked.

The meet ended with two exciting 200 Yard Freestyle Graduated Relays. For those of you who may be new to the sport, this is an event that includes 5 swimmers, each representing a different age group (from 8under to 17under.)  The Wedgewood girls kicked their way to 1st and 3rd out of four teams, and the Wedgewood boys pulled hard for 1st place out of three teams.  It was a great way to close out the wet and wild morning!
