Booth Map & Listing Updates

With thanks to Recreation Director Amy Hamilton, The Citizen is pleased to bring you the final list of booths for this weekend’s fair, including multiple late-registering community organizations.

Booth Activity Updates

Bedford Education Foundation: BEF will have two spaces set up to accommodate our 80’s themed photo booth publicizing “BEF Back to the 80’s Bash Strikes Back,” coming up on January 21. Kids and adults alike can dress up and use our 80’s styled props to take home a souvenir photo strip as a ‘save the date’ for the Bash! In addition, there will be lots of info on the many new grants BEF has just funded, as well as on other fun events planned this Fall!

Bedford Garden Club: The Bedford Garden Club will carry its banner and posters to indicate club activities in the parade; the club’s booth will sell mums, spring bulbs to plant this fall, and flower arrangements. There will also be free birthday cake to celebrate the club’s 60th anniversary, and a free (one ticket per person) drawing for a $60 gift certificate at New England Nurseries.

Bedford TV: Bedford TV has lots of entertainment planned for Bedford Day:  a roundtable of Bedford TV show hosts, live music with local favorite Allen Zhou, a very special episode of Bedford Backstage featuring some of our finest young performers and more! Stop by our booth to learn more about Bedford TV!

BEST/PTO: Our booth will be selling scoops of Richie’s Italian Ice for $3 – we’re located in the circle in front of the Yellow Building!  All proceeds will be used to support the Davis and Lane Schools.

Boxtops for Education: Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Boxtops for Education is a community-wide way to easily support Bedford schools. Learn how clipping box tops raises money for Davis,Lane and JGMS.  Enter our expired box top guessing contest. The closest guess wins a prize..

Boy Scout Troop 114: Troop 114 will be hosting a thrift sale to raise money for the troop at Bedford Day on Saturday, September 17.  This annual tradition helps raise money for Boy Scout Troop 114. The troop would gladly accept donations of gently used things from your house.  Please drop them with the scouts beteen 9 and 10AM on Saturday, September 17, at their location next to the playground off Mudge Way.  Scouts will be there to help unload your vehicle if you need assistance. Then… please come by to buy the treasures that people have donated between 10 and 3 PM!

C4RJ, Communities for Restorative Justice: C4RJ will have a table near the BPD to share information about this innovative program.

DVSN, the Domestic Violence Services Network, Inc. DVSN will have a table next to its Bedford Police Department partners right in front of the Bedford PD.  Please stop by to meet DVSN’s volunteer advocates who help individuals and families living with domestic abuse, pick up some materials that may be of interest, and/or ask any questions you may have.  DVSN is most grateful for the very strong support of the Bedford community for the past 18 years.
