Letter to the Editor, October 25, 2016: Summer Water Usage

October 25, 2016

Submitted by Mary Drake

Letter-to-the-EditorI’m more than a little disappointed that the “powers that be” in Bedford didn’t take a stand to conserve water.  I know we belong to the MRWA, but common sense would dictate that we all work together on this serious drought.

Watering every other day would have made a difference.  I would liked to have had a beautiful green lawn but it seemed wasteful given the current circumstances.

Thank you to those who did make the effort to conserve.

I agree with Mary and feel that Bedford residents could have made the right choice and conserved without being told. I also thank those who did. With the signs in Billerica and Concord, it would have made it easy to at least think about it.
