On October 5, 2016, the Middlesex 3 Coalition hosted their second Business Leadership Roundtable with U.S. Congressman Seth Moulton at 4 Burlington Woods Drive in Burlington, MA. This roundtable discussion brought together almost 100 leaders from area corporations, educational institutions, and municipalities to network and dialogue on initiatives to improve business competitiveness and growth in the Middlesex 3 region, in Congressman Moulton’s district, and in Massachusetts.

On March 18, 2016, the Middlesex 3 Coalition held its first Business Leadership Roundtable discussion with Massachusetts Secretary of Housing and Economic Development, Jay Ash. Secretary Ash facilitated an engaging conversation between 30 regional company executives representing regional high-growth and high-tech companies in a variety of industries. Topics included workforce development needs, rising infrastructure costs, and improvements to transportation access to attract millennials to jobs in the Route 3 region.

The roundtable with Congressman Seth Moulton built upon some of the topics discussed with Secretary Ash but concentrated heavily on transportation concerns along the Rt. 3 corridor and surrounding corridors (Rt. 93 and Rt. 128) and improvements to public transportation. “Economic development continues to be my top priority, and a stronger economy requires a stronger transportation network,” said Moulton. “I’m committed to improving transportation and infrastructure in the region, and by bringing everyone to the table, we can identify priorities and join forces. That’s been our strategy throughout the district, and I look forward to continued collaboration with the Middlesex 3 Coalition.”
