By State Representative Ken Gordon
Tomorrow is an important day. It is a day that will change the world. We have the opportunity to exercise a right guaranteed by our constitution, and defended with the blood of our forebears. We will head to the polls and elect the next president of the United States. One way or another, it is a day we have long awaited, and one we will not forget.
There will be two contested races on the ballot. One is my race to continue as your State Representative. If your priority is a representative for our district who is focused on our traffic woes , I have been there for you. I convinced the Department of Transportation to address the bottleneck at Routes 128 and 3 in Burlington with a new lane configuration, and to halt its plans to build a Salt Shed close to a neighborhood in Bedford.
If your priority is a representative focused on the education of our children, I have been there too. I convinced the state to increase our funding each year for all of our schools, and to permanently assist Bedford with an appropriation for the education of Hanscom families, which helps the economies of all of our towns. I have involved our public school students in the very operation of our government.
If you have not voted already, please come to the John Glenn Middle School in Bedford between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. tomorrow. Please exercise your right to vote. It is one of the most important rights you have.
Representing this district has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I thank you for your support. With your vote, we can continue to work toward solutions for the matters that concern you.
Thank you
Ken Gordon
