Among the confirmed speakers are Kyle Draper, Bedford resident and sports broadcasting personality; Reginald Nichols, affirmative action officer at Middlesex Community College; and Chief of Police Robert Bongiorno. Other participants will include a high school student, and a resident who personally experienced Dr. King’s influence.
Representatives of all of the town’s institutions, including most churches, Middlesex Community College, Hanscom Air Force Base, the Veterans hospital, and local government will be attending. There will also be a musical component to the program.
The board of Bedford Embraces Diversity, the community-based organization committed to increasing awareness and understanding of diversity, felt that this new event would serve as an opportunity to reinforce Dr. King’s messages of justice and equality in our community.
There will be a nominal admission charge of $5. For reservations, please email [email protected] or call Marilou Barsam (781-271-9798) or Tricia Anderson (781-538-4690)
