According to Captain Mark Sullivan, since the Bedford Fire Department began collecting unwrapped toys for distribution among disadvantaged local children, several pick-up truck loads have already been dispatched to Toys for Local Children’s headquarters.

Michelle Lynch and Sabrina Rothermeyer of Data Intensity, a corporation on Crosby Drive, delivered a pair of large cartons on Monday afternoon, each full of gifts for children, from newborns to teens. The company put a collection box in their company kitchen on November 28, and employees filled first one, and then a second carton with sports equipment and toys.

The Fire Department collection ends on Thursday, December 22, just in time to get everything to Santa for delivery on Christmas Eve.
