On Tuesday, January 17 the Recreation Commission met and voted to open Springs Brook Park for the 2017 season.  The plan calls for opening the park from Tuesday – Saturday, with open swim available for Summer Adventures, a seasonal summer camp program for elementary school aged children. Swim lessons could be added if staffing allows and would require a membership to the park.

The meeting was well attended by members of the public who offered to help the Recreation Commission and Recreation Department get the word out about job opportunities and memberships. The commission thanked them for their energy and enthusiasm and welcomed the support from the public.

Membership rates for Bedford residents, out-of-town memberships, and day passes were discussed and a final decision will be made at the next meeting.
