Summer Jobs at Springs Brook Park: Aquatics Director, Assistant Director, Life Guards, Swim Instructors, and Part-time Jobs for Bedford Teens

Springs Brook Park will be open from Tuesday through Saturday each week for the 2017 season, and staff will be hired to work between May 23 and August 18. The park’s opening date is still to be decided.

The summer program is hiring the following staff:

Aquatics Director and Assistant Director

The Aquatics Director and Assistant Director are responsible for the operation of programs, supervision of staff, and maintenance of the swim facility.

The Aquatics Director (salary: $15,120-$16,800) and Assistant Director (salary: $11,040-$12,000) are full-time summer positions (40-hour per week, Tuesday-Saturday, from May 23 thru August 18) with some pre- and post-season administrative hours. The positions can accommodate a teacher’s schedule.

Candidates must have current certifications and aquatics experience (Lifeguard Training and/or WSI-Water Safety Instructor).

Lifeguards-Water Safety Instructors (Swim Instructors)

These are full- or part-time summer positions from May 23 thru August 18, with excellent hourly rates — $15-$19 per hour, pending approval.

Minimum age is 16, with current certification in Lifeguard Training and/or WSI-Water Safety Instruction. There is a 50% course reimbursement for the training at end of the season. Click here to learn more about  Lifeguard/Water Safety Instructor job requirements.

Staff Crew Positions: Park Attendants, Swim Aides, Concession, Maintenance

These are part-time positions available from May 23 thru August 18 (Tuesday-Saturday). Must be a Bedford resident and age 14 by June 7, 2017.)

CORRECTION, 2/2/2017: The original text indicated that the park would open when the employees start work on May 23, but indeed it will open to the public at a later date that is still to be determined.
