With Bedford schools closed and Thursday’s snow beginning to accumulate, there is additional news from MEMA and the Town of Bedford.
Thursday morning MEMA Update
The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) increased Bedford’s possible snowfall accumulation to between 12 and 18 inches at 7:30 am on Thursday.
MEMA projects the heaviest snowfall rate of 2 to 4 inches per hour will begin around 10 am Thursday and diminish late this afternoon.The storm will taper off late this evening into the early hours of Friday morning.
Town Offices Closed and Evening Meetings Canceled
Due to winter storm conditions, Town Offices will be closed to the public on Thursday, February 9 during normal business hours. A separate announcement will be made during the day on Thursday in the event of cancellation or postponement of board/committee meetings scheduled for Thursday night.
Early this afternoon the Town announced that all evening meetings scheduled for Thursday evening have been canceled, including the Finance Committee, the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Cable Committee and the Bedford Housing Partnership.
