I am writing in strong support of Sarah Scoville’s candidacy for Bedford School Committee. I have the utmost confidence in Sarah and believe her background in arts education and her deep commitment to community is an absolute match for the role.
This is an unprecedented moment in public education, where the future of public education is uncertain, making the need for strong local policy and practice absolutely essential.
Sarah’s continuous investment to our community is clear through her sustained volunteerism with organizations such as Bedford Family Connection, Bedford Hotel Task Force, Bedford Elementary Schools Together (BEST) and St. Paul’s Nursery School.
Beyond this highly visible work, Sarah is kind, friendly and welcoming, something I was personally grateful for when moving to this community just two years ago. She has a unique ability to make lightning fast connections between people, whether to introduce them by interest, need or rapport, and is thoughtful and inclusive of anyone she notices needs the embrace of the community.
I wholeheartedly support her candidacy and look forward to what she will bring to education in our town.
