With dry, comfortable weather predicted for most of this weekend it is a great time to get out and take advantage of the many family activities going on throughout Bedford.

Child Identification Program ~ Saturday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

The Massachusetts Masonic Youth Child Identification Program (MYCHIP) provides children’s families with identification materials designed to help find a missing child as quickly as possible. It is the most comprehensive service of its kind in the world and is hailed by recovery officials at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Trail Walk ~ Saturday 9:45 am – 11:00 am

Join the Bedford Trails Committee for an interesting two-hour guided walk through one of the Bedford Conservation Areas. Children and well-behaved dogs are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Participants should gather in the parking lot behind the Bedford Library, 7 Mudge Way at 9:45 a.m. to meet the trail leader and carpool to the trailheads. Wear sturdy shoes; parts of the trail may be muddy.  Participants should bring water, sunscreen and bug repellent. More…

Bike Safety Event ~ Saturday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

This event is suggested for beginner to intermediate bike riders (bring your bike) and anyone needing a properly fitting bike helmet. Free helmets will be given out and fitted, you can get a basic mechanical check of your bike, and there will be a Bike Rodeo to learn and practice basic bike safety skills. This event will be held at the Bedford Police Department parking lot and is sponsored by Bedford Rotary, Bedford PD, Bedford Friends of the Minuteman Bikeway/Bike Committee, and Bedford Farms. More…

Best PTO Color Run ~ Saturday 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Come support BEST in the Second Annual 3K Color Run/Walk!
The race starts at 4:00 PM. Onsite registration will be available starting at 3:00 on Saturday, June 3rd at JGMS. Be blasted with colored, plant-based powder while having a blast!! T-shirt supply is very limited. Please make sure you wear something you don’t mind getting color on! Families and friends are invited to participate in this fun community event that will raise money for the BEST/PTO. More…

PMC ~ Greetings Bedford Bike Riders!

We are busy planning another great day for the PMC on Saturday, June 17th.  Registration is open and we hope you can join us! Anyone who registers to ride by June 4th will receive 10 EXTRA raffle tickets!! Cub Scout Cookout ~ Sunday 12:00 to 3:00

Bedford Cub Scout Pack 194 will hold its annual family cookout and registration drive at Lt. Job Lane Elementary School, 66 Sweetwater Ave., on Sunday, June 4th from 12:00 to 3:00.This event is FREE and open to all local families interested in learning more about Cub Scouting in Bedford. Guests will be treated to hot dogs, burgers, snacks, and dessert. Guests are also invited to join in fun games like watermelon smashing, tug-o-war, sack races, and water balloon tossing. Mark Your Calendar

The Bedford Public Library is now on summer hours and will be closed Sundays until September 3.

The last day of school is June 22. Students will be dismissed early that day.
