The Bedford Community Table/Pantry is seeking volunteers to help with the Community Dinners which will begin on September 14 and continue every Thursday through the school year.  Help is needed in the following two areas.

  • Set up Crew: In the past, this area has been filled by high school students who arrive at the Town Center after school on Thursday at 2:30.  Duties include setting up six additional tables, folding chairs and placing place mats, flatware, and other items on the tables.  The work is usually done by 3:00 pm and obviously can be done faster if more help is available.
  • Clean up Crews: Volunteers in this area arrive at the Town Center around 4:45 or earlier if they wish to partake in the dinner offering. and are responsible for breaking down tables and chairs and cleaning various items used in the preparation of the Free Community Dinner.

Interested individuals may respond by calling 781-275-7355 and leaving contact information on our answering machine.  We may also be contacted via email at [email protected] or through our web site Bedford Food Pantry.Org.  These volunteer opportunities offer Community Service hours for students.
