Town Government at Work for the Week of September 25, 2017

Coming up: Another busy week of board and committee meetings, doing the work of the Town!

There are four official meeting on Tuesday, September 26.  That morning the Council on Aging will meet to review a draft report of the UMass Boston study of Bedford Town Needs Assessment.  They meet at 10:30 am in the Flint Room at Town Center.  That evening the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on a possible zoning bylaw for medical marijuana dispensary zoning. They will also continue hearings on Pine Hill Crossing and a proposed hotel at 39 Crosby Drive. The Land Acquisition Committee will also meet at 7:30 pm.

The School Committee will meet in the Bedford High School at 7:30. The committee will get updates on the BHS Ambassador Program and the Building Projects. They will also review the School’s Capital Budget.

On Wednesday, September 27 the Conservation Commission will meet at 7:00 pm to continue hearings on the Lantern Lane bridge and the proposed Davis Road Boardwalk. Also that evening the Capital Expenditure Committee will meet at 7:00 pm.

On Thursday evening the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet with the owner of 142R The Great Road who seeks to change the building use from business to residential. They will also hear a request for a special permit request to demolish a house at 1 Gleason Road and construct a larger one on a nonconforming lot.

Also on Thursday night, there is a Finance Committee Meeting and a meeting of the Dog Park Task Force, each at 7:30 pm.
