The Bedford Chamber of Commerce invites residents to get in the holiday spirit with a stroll through some of Bedford Center’s most beautiful homes, festively decorated for the season during the  Suzanne & Company Holiday House Tour from 1 to 4 pm on Sunday, December 10,

Advance tickets are $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for seniors and children 8-12, $10.00.  On the day of the event they will be $25.00.  Tickets are available Great Road Galleries, 363 Great Road; New England Nurseries, 216 Concord Road; the Chamber office, 12 Mudge Way in Town Center; and on line at www.bedfordchamber.org.

There are 6 homes on this year’s tour, all so different from one another yet each displaying the warmth that the holidays bring!

The little green house at the corner of Otis Street and South Road started life as a family home in 1929, at the time of Bedford’s 200th anniversary as a town. Built by Myron Waite, father of Bill Waite and grandfather of Bill Waite Jr., Myron was the first of three generations of builders. Look for his black-and-white photo on the kitchen wall, taken when he was chief of the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department.

The tour’s Hartford Street home has undergone a complete transformation, with a modern style that balances the character of the Craftsman Bungalow. Another of the homes will feature an old-fashioned holiday, with treasures gathered during a time when the family lived in Germany.

Along The Great Road, the Regency Brass ensemble will play for strollers making their way from one house to another. A special gift and refreshments will be available at Ken’s Pub.

Proceeds from the Holiday House Tour help to fund the Charles Hume Scholarship, awarded annually to a Bedford High School senior.  For more information, please contact Maureen Sullivan,  Executive Director of the Bedford Chamber of Commerce, at 781-275-8503.
